PHP (Language)

PHP is my server side language. People talk trash about PHP, but I like it. I chose it because of the sentence: 'if they discontinued support for php, half the internet would die.' It seemed like a safe choice, in this tech landscape that shifts as much as it does.

I love PHP because it was designed to be a server-side web language. Almost all of the day-to-day operations I need to host a site are *default* global functions. No import necessary. People also don't like the dollar sign on variables... but I can name my variable anything I want, and it doesn't pollute the function namespace.
